World News - One building collapsed in the middle of Christchurch, New Zealand, on Monday (6/13/2011) after a series of strong earthquakes rocked the second largest city in the country. "Until now there has been no reports of victims trapped inside the building," police said.

Previously circulated reports of collapsed buildings in Christchurch, which had not recovered by an earthquake with a strength of 6.3 on the Richter scale.

The quake is expected to make a lot of buildings in the Christchurch flat on the ground in February, and many people believed trapped under rubble. "We have examined the building collapsed and the situation is clear," said police spokeswoman.

The size of the building is unknown. Earthquake with power of 6.0 on the Richter scale occurred near Christchurch, on Monday morning, after a series of earlier quake, which uses the city, said some officers seismology.

U.S. Geological Survey reported the quake's epicenter, which was rocked at 02:00 GMT (9:30 pm), located at a depth of nine kilometers and about 14 kilometers from the second largest city in New Zealand.

The latest quake occurred after a series of earthquake early Monday, including an earthquake with a strength of 5.2 on the Richter scale, reported damage to buildings in the city which in February hit by an earthquake with a strength of 6.3 on the Richter scale that killed 181 people.
