Prime Minister of Japan Do not Want To Receive Salary Finish Nuclear Crisis

World News - Prime Minister (PM) of Japan Naoto Kan vowed never to accept his salary as prime minister until a nuclear crisis in Fukushima nuclear power plant ended. But he still would receive his salary as a legislator.

Kan said, along with nuclear power plant operator, Tokyo Electric Power Company (Tepco), the government bears a huge responsibility on nuclear catastrophe, although it already operates a policy of nuclear energy.

"As the person responsible for this policy, I apologize to the entire community," said Kan as reported by AFP on Wednesday (11/05/2011).

Kan added, in his position as prime minister, he decided not to accept his salary as prime minister since June, until the discovery of hope to be able to end this nuclear catastrophe.
