NATO members are still at odds about the attack on Libya

World News - Foreign ministers of NATO countries held a meeting in Berlin on Thursday (14 / 4), in the midst of difference of opinion among members about the air strikes to protect civilians in Libya.

Britain and France urged other countries to aggravate the military pressure against Libyan leader Moamar Gaddafi.

Air attack led by the United States, France, and Britain began last month. NATO later took over the leadership role of the mission. However, a number of important member countries, including Spain and Italy, did not participate in attacks against ground targets it.

The task of NATO's mission in Libya include an arms embargo monitoring and enforcing the ban with a ship flying the mandated UN resolutions.

Only six of the 28 NATO members, namely France, Britain, Canada, Beligia, Norway and Denmark, who conducted the air attack.

The foreign minister of Spain, Trinidad Jimenez, said that his country will continue to help monitor the flight ban and arms embargo, but he repeated that it would not send combat aircraft to Libya.
