Michael Lewis has found himself in an awkward position. His book 'Moneyball' has been adapted into a critically acclaimed box office success, and yet he was a little late to the party. On 'The Daily Show' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central), he admitted, "I thought it was gonna suck."
He just didn't think his book was the kind of thing that could be adapted into a quality film. So he was perhaps more surprised than anyone when the final product was coming together and it turned out to be a great film. But what does he do now after backing away from it for so long?
According to Stewart, he should simply lie. "Just say I always knew that'd be great," he suggested. He even made up a line about Lewis telling him how great it was going to be a few years back that he could use as evidence.
