STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (World News) -- Legal experts say it's probably going to take civil litigation to get out the full story about what occurred in the Penn State child sex abuse scandal.

Pennsylvania lawyers with experience in similar litigation say the matter raises new and complicated legal issues.

Legal analysts say former Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky, the school and other likely defendants would face different levels and types of possible legal problems in civil court.

Philadelphia lawyer Slade McLaughlin, who's pursued claims in the Philadelphia Catholic priest abuse case, says he's been in contact with lawyers and legal investigators who tell him about 20 people have come forward with claims they were abused as children.

Sandusky is awaiting trial on charges he sexually abused eight boys over 15 years. He denies the allegations.
