16 killed in U.S. missile hit

World News - Missiles United States (U.S.) again claimed casualties in Pakistan. This time the missile attacks directed at defense bases militants that killed 16 people.

The first attack directed at Wucha village and killed seven militants. While the subsequent attacks were fired at the same time in the same village and left five people dead. So reported the Associated Press on Monday (06/06/2011).

Another missile hit a vehicle coming under way in border areas north and south Waziristan. Brunt of this third missile killing four people dead. In total, the number of victims killed in this attack reached 16 people.

According to Pakistani intelligence members who are reluctant to be named, the attack caused some Arab citizens were killed. The attack on militants in Pakistani territory after the death of growing al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in that country last May 2.

Previously, Pakistani security forces also succeeded in killing a suspected al Qaeda commander Ilyas Kashmiri. Kashmiri allegedly plotted to substitute for Bin Laden, behind the other famous names such as Ayman Al Zawahiri.

U.S. officials could not confirm whether the Kashmiri was killed in this incident. Meanwhile, Pakistani security forces refused to comment, whether they provide assistance to the U.S. in this air attack.

Pakistan earlier urged the U.S. to halt their air strikes on Pakistani soil. But Pakistan is not an appeal heard by the U.S..
