Air Strikes Hit Gaddafi's residence

WASHINGTON - An air attack on a complex of administrative buildings in Tripoli, the Libyan Government also destroyed the residence of the Gaddafi. Description is obtained from a coalition official who declined to be named.

"The coalition has been actively enforcing UN Security Council Resolution 1973 and in conjunction with this mission we continue to attack those who pose a threat to the people of Libya and the application of no-fly zone," the official said as quoted by AFP on Monday (3/21/2011 .)

Building hit by air strikes, which is located 50 meters from the tent where ordinary Gaddafi receive guests, crushed to the ground.

Tripoli was rocked by several powerful explosions since Sunday, March 20, one of which came from about Gaddafi's residence.

An AFP journalist saw smoke billowing from the residence and barracks in the Bab el-Aziziya, south of the capital city of Libya, after the fighters opened fire.
