Catania have announced the appointment of Rolando Maran.

Catania had been searching for a new coach following the news earlier this month that Vincenzo Montella would leave the club.
A statement from the club read: "Catania has turned to coach Rolando Maran to guide the team in the 2012-13 campaign."
Maran, 49, has yet to manage in the top-flight but joins after an impressive season in Serie B with Varese, in which he led the club to the play-off final.
