Sigurdsson, 22, spent the second half of the season on loan at Swansea from Hoffenheim, impressing at the Liberty Stadium as he scored seven times in 18 Premier League matches.

The Swans stated their intention to secure the Iceland international on a permanent basis, although the Welsh club faced competition for his signature.
