Teenager Jude Winchester completed a late turnaround with his first career goal as Kilmarnock secured seventh place in the Scottish Premier League with a 2-1 win against Dunfermline.

The relegated Pars looked like doubling their tally of home wins after repelling some early second-half pressure after Paul Willis had given them a 20th-minute lead.

But Liam Kelly fired an equaliser with four minutes left and 19-year-old substitute Winchester capped his second appearance with a cool finish in the 89th minute.

Greg Tansey and Jonny H ayes scored from set-pieces in the second half as Inverness beat Scottish Cup finalists Hibernian 2-0 at Caledonian Stadium.

Tansey broke the deadlock against the much-changed visitors when he curled home a 25-yard free-kick just after the hour, and winger Hayes sealed the victory 10 minutes later with a penalty after Matt Doherty handled in the area.

Hibs manager Pat Fenlon rested the majority of his starting line-up ahead of the cup final against Hearts next Saturday; eight players who featured in their 4-0 win against Dunfermline on Monday night were switched for counterparts aiming to impress ahead of the Hampden final - Garry O'Connor, Tom Soares and Matt Doherty retained their places for the final SPL game.

Far from being a meaningless encounter, Hibs had the opportunity to snatch 10th place and a five figure cash boost in the process but, with around £80,000 extra at stake per league place, it was Inverness who claimed the welcome rewa rd.

Aberdeen striker Darren Mackie will be kicking himself not to have brought the curtain down on his lengthy Dons' career with a goal, as his side played out an entertaining scoreless draw with St Mirren in the final game of their SPL season.

Made captain for the day, Mackie passed up a golden opportunity to net his dream goal in the opening stages, but had to settle for a man-of-the-match display at a sun-baked Pittodrie.
