Adebayor is currently on a season-long loan from Manchester City, with both clubs yet to reach an agreement over making the move permanent.

The player, who has scored 14 goals for the White Hart lane club, is known to be keen on staying in London but there are doubts surrounding his willingness to take a pay cut from the £170,000 he is reported to earn at the Etihad Stadium.

"The chairman will deal with that at the end of the season, so no I wouldn't have a clue if that would be a possibility or not," said Spurs boss Redknapp.

"He's done great for us, two goals again last week against Swansea - he's been excellent. But whether it's possible to do a deal I wouldn't be sure."

When asked whether City have missed Adebayor in the last few months, Redknapp said: "They've gone through a tricky little spell but they've got lots of good strikers. His future doesn't seem to be there, he probably needs to move on but we'll see what happens."
