An 11,611 crowd at the Ricoh Arena - or the City of Coventry Stadium as it is known for Games purposes - saw Senegal win the teams' qualification play-off to become the last of the 16 nations to make the finals.

The opening goal came after just 98 seconds from wide man Ibrahima Balde, and Senegal sealed the victory with a second goal two minutes from time by Abdoulaye Sane to send them through to their first Olympic competition.

The result means they will enter the draw for the group stage, which is to take place on Tuesday.

It has been confirmed that hosts Great Britain along with Brazil, Spain and Mexico will be seeded, while Senegal will join the unseeded sides South Korea, Japan, United Arab Emirates, Gabon, Morocco, Egypt, Honduras, Uruguay, New Zealand, Switzerland and Belarus.
