Barcelona's Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez has revealed his "shock" at John Terry's actions during Tuesday night's Champions League semi-final.
Terry, 31, was dismissed for a knee in the back of the former Udinese star and will now miss the final as a consequence of his actions.
Despite the punishment, Sanchez does not believe that justice was served: "It was shameless and not something I would expect from a player of Terry's standing and ability.
"I was completely shocked by Terry's unprovoked actions, particularly in a game of such great importance.
"He could have really hurt his team but then had the good fortune to see them qualify. I'm not sure there was much justice."
The Chilean also revealed that Terry, despite his claims that the incident was out-of-character, has not apologised for his actions.
"He crossed the line and he regretted it. I never spoke to Terry after the game or since. He did not apologise but I think he was too wrapped up in the celebrations," Sanchez added.
