Sunderland striker Nicklas Bendtner insists he has not made up his mind over whether to stay at the club beyond his current loan spell.
Bendtner, on loan from Arsenal, has scored seven goals so far this season and manager Martin O'Neill stated earlier in the week that recruiting a striker was high on his transfer wish list this summer.
However, the 24-year-old Denmark international may not be the man who leads the line at the Stadium Of Light next season.
"Never say never about Sunderland, but it is not certain that I will be here if the opportunity arises ," he told TV2. "About Arsenal, I obviously have to have a chat with the club about it [his future], but it's not there that the first priority is going to be. I think I have been fairly clear about it."
Bendtner also hit out at the Gunners, claiming that a loan spell was what he needed to get him playing games: "It's been great to come up here and get games," he explained. "It's different than what I was used to at Arsenal, but it's been a good period for me."
