Sergio Aguero insists the Premier League title race is not yet over as Manchester City aim to further close the gap on rivals United.

Aguero and his City team-mates have moved back within five points of the top with the Argentinian bagging a brace in a 4-0 home defeat of West Brom, while Manchester United slumped to a shock loss at
Wigan.

With just five games remaining, manager Roberto Mancini has claimed it is too
little too late, but Aguero insists no-one at the Etihad Stadium will give up hope of
catching United.

"Of course it was important to win, we knew we had to win as at any
moment United could drop points, as happened," Aguero told City TV. "They dropped three points, which gives us more confidence to fight for the
Premier League.

"We have to be focused now for all the remaining games, these five games, try
to win, to win points and then (when) United come here hopefully we (will) have
won every game. The most important thing is to keep winning, which can only be good."

City still have it in their own hands to take the battle to the last game of
the season as they face United on April 30. And just one more slip-up from United in any of their other four games would
put City back in control of their own destiny.

Aguero also praised the influence of Carlos Tevez, who has returned to the City line-up after falling out with Mancini and the club last September.

"Obviously Carlos is a fantastic player, like Edin Dzeko and Mario Balotelli are, but we've played quite regularly together in Argentina," said Aguero. "Because of that, he knows my movements and so we seem to do it quite well. The most important thing is we are all happy.

"We have done fairly well - myself, Edin and Mario - but I think it would be nice to have Carlos on board to add goals. Carlos is a key player as he has got a lot of experience of playing in the Premier League."
