Maybe they should change the name of the show from Smash to Smack!
Show-tunes diehards hustling for a face-off between TV's dueling musical series got a kiss-off instead when Smash's Megan Hilty stepped onstage at Saturday night's GLAAD Media Awards in New York City to plant a big wet one on Glee's Cory Monteith.
Wait—what?!
Yep, you read that right. So how did the two songbirds end up, um, making such sweet music together?

Hilty and Monteith were among a bevy of celebs—including John Stamos, Dakota Fanning, Tracey Gold and Russell Simmons—who were on hand to help GLAAD celebrate the noteworthy efforts of celebs and media outlets who've rallied support for the gay community.
About halfway through the show, Monteith—who cohosted the evening with fellow Glee alum Naya Rivera—opened the floor to a kissing auction that put each of them up for grabs.
(At the last minute, Stamos also ended up volunteering himself for the auction—talk about hottie solidarity!)
After a furious round of bidding, the highest bids were called and locked down. But as the winners were invited on stage, the audience roared with excitement when Hilty stepped up next to Monteith.

And smack! The two locked lips amid deafening applause.
Not a bad way to cap the show, which doled out awards to deserving contenders like lesbian coming-out drama Pariah, which won for Outstanding Film, and Dancing With the Stars, which nabbed the prize for Outstanding Reality Program. Oprah, Lady Gaga, The New York Times and Anderson Cooper 360 were also honored. (Check out the full list of winners here.)
But we bet you're wondering: Was Hilty really so gung-ho to get smoochy-coochy with Monteith that she was willing to plunk down major moolah?

Five thousand dollars!
Sweeeet. But after the lingering kiss that Hilty ended up giving him, we're sure he felt like a million bucks!
