"No one individual is to blame for this disappointing season and we all must hold ourselves accountable," Rams owner Stan Kroenke said in a statement.

"However, we believe it's in the best interest of the St. Louis Rams to make these changes as we continue our quest to build a team that consistently competes for playoffs and championships."

The Rams, who finished last in the NFC West division, also parted ways with general manager Billy Devaney.

They have not made the playoffs since the 2004 season and Spagnulo was 10-38 in three seasons since being named head coach in 2009. Devaney was named general manager in 2008.

St. Louis did not name replacements for either position but said a search for a new head coach and general manager is already underway.

The Buccaneers, who finished last in the NFC South, have missed the playoffs in each of the past four seasons and went 17-31 since Morris was named head coach in 2009. His replacement was not named.

"I have a lot of respect and appreciation for the passion Coach Morris gave to our football team, but this change is one we felt was necessary," Buccaneers General Manager Mark Dominik said in a statement.
