Business News : Wall Street falls after comments from ECB head

NEW YORK (Business News) - Stocks fell on Thursday, with the Dow industrials down over 1 percent, after remarks from European Central Bank President Mario Draghi tempered hopes policymakers were priming a much-anticipated financial "bazooka" to tackle Europe's raging debt crisis.


The Dow Jones industrial average .DJI dropped 147.05 points, or 1.21 percent, to 12,049.32. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index .SPX was off 19.35 points, or 1.53 percent, to 1,241.66. The Nasdaq Composite Index .IXIC slid 29.11 points, or 1.10 percent, to 2,620.10.
