You didn't expect Dr. Gregory House to take is incarceration quietly, did you? As widely reported, the eighth season premiere of 'House' (Mon., 9PM ET on FOX) had the not-so-good doctor wrapping up his first year in prison for driving into Cuddy's house and then fleeing the scene.
Here we got to meet Dr. Jessica Adams, whos' the doctor there. She and House develop a grudging respect for one another when she sees his diagnostics genius, and he her ability to take risks and shirk the rules.
It's her doing that before his parole hearing that triggers a riot. The "boss" on the inside has been taking House's prescribed Vicodin, and he demanded twenty pills before House's release. so Adams provided them.
Only House didn't hand them over, instead throwing them up in the air and causing a riot. The episode ended with House in solitary, so we're not back to the regular digs just yet, but we'll get there by next week. And Dr. Adams will be along sometime later in the season, after getting fired for hooking him up with those pills.
Much like the asylum season premiere, we saw House completely outside his normal environs for an entire episode, and yet he was still very much himself. What did you think of the premiere?
