Football News : Voller: Bayern streets ahead of Leverkusen

Bayer Leverkusen director of sport Rudi Voller says Bayern Munich are "in a class of their own'' in the Bundesliga after becoming the latest side to be beaten by Jupp Heynckes' team.

A 3-0 win at the Allianz Arena was Bayern's sixth win in a row in the league, and Voller said there is simply no stopping the Bavarians.

"You could see clearly today that we played an opponent we simply had no chance against,'' he told Sky television "Bayern are simply in a class of their own''

Instead, Leverkusen must now focus on repeating their second-place finish from
last season, and Voller believes that is still a realistic target.

"We knew before the season that it was going to be tough measuring up to
them,'' he added. "We are on a par with teams like Werder Bremen or Wolfsburg, to name but a
few, and we now have to measure up to them, and we can do that.''

Leverkusen coach Robin Dutt said that his side had at least improved compared
to their 4-1 defeat at home to Cologne last weekend.

"Bayern were clearly the better team, but at least my team stood up for
themselves,'' he said. "We are not the first to lose here.''
