Norwich manager Paul Lambert has confirmed striker James Vaughan will be out
for several months with a knee injury.
Vaughan, 23, hobbled off after coming on as a second-half substitute during
the Canaries' 2-1 defeat of Sunderland on Monday night, having moved to Carrow Road from Everton this summer.
Lambert confirmed the injury was not to the same knee which caused the former Everton forward to miss the early part of the season, but still said he would be sidelined until early 2012.
Speaking to a news conference ahead of the trip to Manchester United, the Norwich manager said: ''He is going to be out for a considerable time - it is his meniscus. It is a blow because he has been looking really good and is going to be out for three or four months. He has had really bad luck with injuries.''
