Sporting Kansas City sit two points clear at the top of the Major League Soccer Eastern Conference after a 2-1 home win over third-placed Columbus Crew.
Kei Kamara gave the home side the lead with a penalty after 15 minutes, but
Emilio Renteria equalised before half-time.
The match looked set to end in a draw, however Columbus' Julius James scored an own
goal after 74 minutes to hand Kansas City all three points.
Elsewhere, Marco Pappa scored a hat-trick as Chicago Fire won 3-0 away to 10-man Real Salt
Lake.
Pappa had netted after nine minutes and then Real's Kyle Beckerman was sent-off
two minutes later. Pappa added further goals after 36 and 75 minutes to wrap up the points.
