Bafetimbi Gomis has been recalled to the France squad for the first time in two years ahead of next month's Euro 2012 qualifiers against Albania and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Lyon striker Gomis has been rewarded by national team coach Laurent Blanc after scoring six goals in eight games at the start of the new Ligue 1 season.

Gomis, whose last appearance for Les Bleus came in a World Cup qualifier against Austria in October 2009, has also weighed in with two goals in four European outings.
Paris St Germain's Guillaume Hoarau misses out with a shoulder injury, although Marseille's Alou Diarra and Chelsea's Florent Malouda did make the 24-man squad despite not featuring on a regular basis for their club sides.

AC Milan's Philippe Mexes and Hatem Ben Arfa of Newcastle have not been called-up after only recently returning from injury.

France lead the way from Bosnia by just a point heading into the final two Group D qualifiers. Les Bleus host Albania at Stade de France on October 7, the same night that Bosnia welcome Luxembourg.

With France and Bosnia expected to pick up three points from their penultimate games, their October 11 meeting in Paris is poised to be a winner-takes-all affair.

Victory for either side will assure them of a berth at Poland and Ukraine, while condemning the loser to a place in the play-offs.

France squad: Cedric Carrasso (Bordeaux), Hugo Lloris (Lyon), Steve Mandanda (Marseille); Eric Abidal (Barcelona), Patrice Evra (Manchester United), Younes Kaboul (Tottenham), Lauren t Koscielny (Arsenal), Adil Rami (Valencia), Anthony Reveillere (Lyon), Bacary Sagna (Arsenal); Yohan Cabaye (Newcastle), Alou Diarra (Marseille), Yann M'Vila (Rennes), Florent Malouda (Chelsea), Marvin Martin (Sochaux), Blaise Matuidi (Paris St Germain), Samir Nasri (Manchester City), Mathieu Valbuena (Marseille); (Real Madrid), Kevin Gameiro (Paris St Germain), Bafetimbi Gomis (Lyon), Loic Remy (Marseille), Jeremy Menez (Paris St Germain), Franck Ribery (Bayern Munich).
