World News - Chairman of the Independent Commission of Inquiry Bahrain (BICI) Cherif Bassiouni said, 33 people were killed and more than 400 others injured during a wave of anti-government protests during February and March.
The Commission promised to investigate the causes of unrest, which will include efforts to register all human rights violations during February to March, and among others, investigate allegations of torture, Bassiouni said in a press conference.
He said they will broadcast a general report by the deadline October 30, and will directly submit the report to King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
"We will meet with ministers and gain access to relevant information. In addition, we have launched a website (www.bici.org.Bh) for people who send proof or register their complaints."
He said the identity of citizens and residents affected by the riots will be categorized confidential and only with numbers, in a report which will also have pictures related to the riots.
Independent inquiry was established on June 29, which will issue a final report at the end of the facts of their investigations.
