World News - At least five people were killed in flooding incidents and one person lost in the storm that occurred in the Philippines.

Approximately 13 provinces and the capital city of Manila hit by flooding due to ongoing heavy rains in the country.

These flood victims were three teenagers in the city of Pikit, Cotabato Province, located 930 kilometers from Manila. Besides them, 56-year-old man also drowned in the floods in the province of Romblon, and 10-year boy killed in Batangas City. Similarly, as quoted by Deutsche Presse on Thursday (09/06/2011).

In the province of Quezon, the vessel that contains soybeans reversed due to huge waves and injuring one person crew. Some of the missing sailor and seven of them survived.

More than 170 thousand houses flooded. Tropical depression is considered to be triggered flooding and landslides in Manila.
