To maintain a high level of security, SafeHouse was a stand-alone site that is on the server and can only be accessed editor of WSJ.

"SafeHouse will allow the collection of information and documents that can be used in the generation of reliable news,"said Robert Thomson, editor-in-chief of Dow Jones & Company and executive editor of the Journal, which cited TG Daily, Friday (6/5/2011).

According to Thomson, documents and databases is the "key" to modern journalism.

"But they almost always hidden behind locked doors, especially when they provide detail errors such as fraud, abuse, pollution, insider trading, and other harm. So that's why we need your help," he added.

Safehouse is expected to act as a single location for readers to anonymously provide information on any topic.

The WSJ is planning to examine all information submitted, stating, "Documents and tips provided to SafeHouse will be reviewed by some of the most experienced journalists and is responsible for the world investigating and editors," he said.
