World News - United States Senator Republican Party (USA) John McCain said that if NATO air strikes targeted the command center to kill Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi's Libya, not the problem.
McCain's comment was leveled after the youngest son and three grandchildren Gaddafi declared killed in an air strike, while Moammar Gaddafi himself survived.
"We must destroy the command and control center Gaddafi and if he is killed or injured in the attack, no problem. However, we also have to find strategies to help the opposition to succeed and overthrow Gaddafi and those around him, "McCain said on CBS television program, Face the Nation as reported by Reuters on Monday (02/05/2011).
McCain, who visited the bastion of the opposition last month, said he was not satisfied with the way President Obama deal with Libya conflict, because the U.S. just sit in the back seat. McCain advocated, the United States should deploy more troops to bolster NATO's air.
"We have to re-join the battle. Poor results will result in an impasse which would open the opportunity for Al Qaeda, "said McCain.
Obama previously has urged the government to back off Gaddafi. However, there is no tendency Gaddafi will do that.
"What happened in Libya, which will determine whether Gaddafi will go or not. Currently, in many cases, the ability of troops Gaddafi is not too bad for third-class military, "said McCain.
