Entertainment News - Chicago Mayor Richard Daley on Thursday (12 / 5), giving a farewell gift to Oprah Winfrey by naming a street with the name of the popular show host.
Daley named the street in front of Harpo Studios as Oprah Winfrey Road. Winfrey will end his career as a television presenter after more than two decades.
"Your presence in Chicago is an incredible gift to this city," Daley said a few moments prior to uncover the veil that covered the street signs in front of the studio owned by Winfrey.
More than 100 people filled the street to see the inauguration of a road.
Winfrey said that getting the street with his name better than winning an Oscar or an Emmy.
"This is a miracle. Women are colored, born in Kosciusko, Mississippi made his name as a street name in one of the world's greatest cities, Chicago,"said Winfrey.
