World News - The French government today ordered the 14 diplomats who are loyal to the Moammar Gaddafi to leave France within 48 hours.
According to a spokesman for the French Foreign Ministry, the 14 ex-diplomats work at the Embassy of Libya before it finally closed approximately one month ago.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has sent a request to 14 former diplomats. They have the time between 24 to 48 hours to leave France. Such as reported by the Associated Press on Friday (06/05/2011).
The French government supports the Libyan opposition movement and became a major supporter of the NATO-led military operations in Libya. These military operations aim to protect civilians from attack Gaddafi troops.
In Rome on Thursday, May 5, members of the Libyan Liaison Group of 22 countries agreed to establish a savings fund internationally monitored for opposition to funding the basic needs of the people of Libya. To the 22 countries that have pledged funds amounting to USD250 million, or approximately Rp2, 1 trillion as humanitarian aid for the opposition.
