WikiLeaks Reveals U.S. blunders in Guantanamo

World News - United States (U.S.) is considered to make a big blunder in dealing with detainees suspected terrorists in Guantanamo Prison. This was revealed in a leaked diplomatic wire the U.S. Embassy by the site WikiLeaks.

It covers how the U.S. blunders that holding prisoners for years without strong evidence, while at the same time they release prisoners who are considered to bring severe threats to U.S. security.

Through the data released by WikiLeaks it shows what U.S. officials often struggling with the evidence is unclear and confused to determine whether a prisoner is guilty or not guilty.

Hundreds of prisoners that occurred did not show close links over terror detention without trial. They were detained without any precise information, including the statement can not be justified from colleagues of other prisoners being tortured. Thus was launched the New York Times, Tuesday (04/26/2011).

For example, an Afghan farmer who was not linked to the militant group was detained for two years without trial. He was arrested for false identification case.

But the U.S. government would release Abdullah Mehsud, a senior Taliban, which claimed the driver was forced by the Taliban. Description Mehsud is even believed by investigators who conduct the interrogation of Mehsud.

"Prisoner (Mehsud) does not indicate a threat to the U.S. in the future or for other U.S. interests,"said the document was written in 2003 and then by WikiLeaks was quoted by the New York Times.
