World News - Approximately 250 people crossed the Syrian border with the intention of entering the territory of Turkey today. They save themselves from the violence that swept Syria today.
Residents rushed into Yaylidagi District, Hatay Province, which lies south of Turkey. A spokesman for Foreign Minister of Turkey Selcuk Unal said his government would ask their purpose and how and what is the reason they left Syria.
"They came to the border guard post and wanted to get into our territory without a passport. But we let them go," said Unal told CNN on Saturday (30/04/2011).
"We'll find out whether this is his own desire, or will be more and more Syrians will cross into Turkey," he continued.
While the local government confirmed that cross the District Yaylidagi are Syrian citizens. They come from ethnic Turkmen. Most of them come from areas Qamishli and Latakia.
When crossed into Turkish territory, all Syrian citizens are in good condition, none of those who are experiencing health problems. Turkish government is currently helping to provide shelter and food tent.
