North Korea Admits Hold U.S. Citizens

World News - North Korea admitted to having detained a U.S. citizen on charges of "criminal acts" against the state.

June Young Su, a U.S. citizen of Korean descent, was arrested in November last year, according to North Korean news agency, KCNA, Thursday (14 / 4).

Previously the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United States to ensure a U.S. citizen detained in North Korea. U.S. has officially requested that the person is released on humanitarian grounds.

The North Korean government does not provide any further explanation about the background of this American citizen.
