Gaddafi's troops fired rockets into Misrata

World News - Libyan Government troops attacked the town of Misrata with approximately 100 rockets today. Muammar Gaddafi's troops continue trying to acquire a majority Misrata territory controlled by the Libyan opposition forces.

Misrata City is the last major city west of Libya and some areas controlled by forces Gaddafi during the last six weeks.

"They fired rockets at its territory Misrata industry this morning. At least 100 rockets have been fired. No casualties were reported in this attack," said spokesman Abu Mzereiq Abdelbasset opposition party told Reuters on Saturday (04/16/2011).
"We got word that the milk plant located in the area suffered heavy damage from this attack,"said Abu Mzereiq.

Industrial region was hit by rocket attack, near the port is adjacent territory, filled with migrant workers who are trapped in the war in Libya. They are currently awaiting the evacuation out of Libya.

Group of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) said the rescue vessel is currently en route to Misrata to begin the evacuation process. IOM stated that many migrant workers are in a state of sad.
