England manager Roy Hodgson will declare his provisional squad for Euro 2012 next Wednesday.
The finalised, 23-strong list of players bidding for glory at Poland and Ukraine must then be sent to UEFA by May 29.
England play away to Norway on May 26 in Hodgson's first game in charge, then face Belgium at Wembley on June 2, before the opening fixture of the Euros against France on June 11.
Hodgson's announcement will arrive after the end of the Premier League season - but comes three days before the Champions League final between Bayern Munich and Chelsea, which will feature several potential England players.
Reports in Wednesday's newspapers suggest that Hodgson will opt to omit Chelsea captain John Terry from his squad.
Several nations, including Germany and the Republic of Ireland, have already laid out their provisional squads.
