Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle has confirmed his intention to talk to Arsenal about returning Japanese youngster Ryo Miyaichi to the Reebok Stadium next season.

Miyaichi, 19, spent the second half of this season at Bolton, making 14 appearances as the Trotters battled in vain against relegation from the Premier League.

Although suffering from injury in the latter part of his loan, Miyaichi initially impressed, showing pace and trickery from his position on the flank.

"We'd love to have him back - he's an exciting young player and that's what we want for next year," Coyle told the Bolton News.

"I've had a discussion with Arsenal already and it's only early days in the summer but we'll see how that pans out. Ryo certainly loved his time at the club. If we could get him back with us again, then that would be great."

Despite Bolton's relegation to the Championship, Coyle does not believe the club will have difficulties utilising the loan system and their contacts with the Premier League's top sides, as they have in the past few seasons.

"The relationship we've got with the top clubs is there for everyone to seem," he said. "You can see that with the quality of player we've been able to get in on loan, and that will continue to be the case.

"If the right ones become available then we'll do everything we can to bring them to the football club."
