Clinton: Zawahiri is in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD - Ahead of his visit to Pakistan, United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (u.s.) surprisingly issued a statement, calling the current leading Al Qaeda Ayman Al-Zawahiri are in Pakistan.

"We want to cripple Al Qaeda and certainly shows progress in such matters. There are some leaders (Al Qaeda) who are still at large. Zawahiri who inherited power from Osama bin Laden, I believe being in Pakistan, "said Cliton while in India, was quoted as saying Monday, AFP (7/5/2012).

Ayman Al-Zawahiri, who is ranked second chain kepemimpin Al Qaeda, Osama bin Laden is still alive, is considered AS a protagonist instill the ideology to members of Al Qaeda. In addition to Zawahiri, Clinton also declared it will put pressure on Pakistan to arrest founder of the Laskhar e Taiba (LET), which is considered the brains of the 2008 Mumbai terror. Earlier, the US is offering a prize money amount of USD10 million or approximately Rp92,3 billion (USD 9.230 per USD) for each information about Hafiz Saeed.

Saeed currently known free living in Pakistan and is regarded as the brains of the attack that killed 166 people in Mumbai, India.

"I am aware of Pakistan has yet to take any action against him (Saeed). We will continue to push it (the Government of Pakistan to conduct an arrest), "stated Clinton.

To date, three of the five most wanted militants are believed to be US in Pakistan, Afghanistan, including Taliban leader Mullah Omar. But, at the same time, Clinton appreciates the sacrifice of Pakistan, which he considered as a victim of the violent behavior of the extremists.
