Toulouse may have put to an end to Lyon's hopes of playing Champions League football next season as they gave their own bid for Europa League action a huge boost in a 3-0 win.

Early goals from Francois Siriex and Emmanuel Riviere set them on course for the victory and the hosts made sure with injury-time looming, with Etienne Capoue's fine through-ball allowing Umut Bulut to break and poke the ball beyond the goalkeeper in the final minute.

The result sees Toulouse draw level with Lyon in fourth place, six points adrift of third-placed Lille with six games left to play.

Marseille's extraordinary nosedive out of European contention continued as they endured their 11th straight Ligue 1 game without a win in a 1-1 draw with lowly Caen at the Stade Velodrome.

Frederic Bulot threatened to embarrass the home side still further when he opened the scoring for the relegation-threatened visitors in the 11th minute, but a Loic Remy penalty before half-time ensured the spoils were shared.

Marseille's dismal run has seen them slump to tenth place in the table, but the result gives more hope to Caen, who jump two places and move a point clear of the drop zone with their second successive game without defeat.
