Udinese kept up the chase of Juventus at the top of Serie A with a 2-1 win over
Catania at the Stadio Friuli.
Pablo Armero put the hosts in front in the 20th minute and their top scorer
Antonio Di Natale got his name on the scoresheet once again to make it 2-0 in
the 53rd minute.
Francesco Lodi grabbed a consolation for Catania in the fifth minute of
stoppage time from the penalty spot.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored twice as AC Milan recovered from last week's derby
defeat against Inter by beating Novara 3-0 at the Stadio Silvio Piola.
For nearly an hour Milan suffered similar frustrations to last week, when they
slipped to a 1-0 defeat, but Ibrahimovic broke the deadlock in the 57th minute.
Robinho doubled the lead in the 73rd minute, before Ibrahimovic grabbed his
second in the last minute.
Goran Pandev scored a late equaliser as Napoli rescued a point at Siena with a 1-1 draw.
Emanuele Calaio had put the hosts ahead in the 67th minute and Siena goalkeeper
Gianluca Pegolo then kept out substitute Ezequiel Lavezzi's penalty kick after
he was brought down inside the area by Siena's Gaetano D'Agostino.
Just when Siena looked to be heading for their fifth win of the campaign,
though, Pandev pulled the visitors level with four minutes to go.
Napoli, who have mustered just two wins in their last six league matches,
remain seventh in Serie A.
Fabrizio Miccoli inspired Palermo to a first win in seven games, 5-3 over Genoa, to halt their slide down the table.
The 32-year-old had a hand in four of the Sicilian side's goals against Genoa
as coach Bortolo Mutti presided over a first victory since taking over the reins
of the team last month.
Miccoli was joined on the scoresheet by Igor Budan, Matias Silvestre, Andrea
Mantovani and Giulio Migliaccio, with Rodrigo Palacio (two) and Bosko Jankovic
replying for Genoa.
The early game was the most disappointing as Bologna and Parma shared the spoils in a lifeless 0-0 Emilia-Romagna derby at the Stadio Dall'Ara.
Neither side had many opportunities to score with Bologna just shading the first half, when they created their best chances, and Parma improving in the second 45 minutes, when they came closest to scoring. However, a goalless draw was a fair reflection of a derby game bereft of emotion between two sides who remain in the bottom half of Serie A.
