As a potential first time violator of Major League Baseball's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Policy, Braun would be subject to a 50-game suspension.
MLB, the Players' Association and the Brewers have not made any official comment on the case.
Braun told MLB.com in a text message: "I would love to talk, but unfortunately I'm not really allowed to say anything right now. My day will come soon, though."
Braun batted .332 with 33 home runs and 111 RBIs last season.
