Football News : Arjen Robben: Groin injury is my worst yet

Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben believes that the groin problem he suffered in October is the worst injury he's suffered in his entire career.

Robben, 27, has had surgery to correct his troublesome groin but admits the injury caused him more pain than any others before.

"I've had my fair share of injuries, but I've never experienced something like this. This was the worst injury in my life," Robben said to Bild. "It's impossible to imagine how bad it was. I had a lot of pain and the recovery process was very hard."

"I'm obviously looking forward to the game [Bayern's Bundesliga encounter with Borussia Dortmund] and to making my comeback. I can hardly wait for the match to take place. However, we don't want to risk anything by rushing my comeback."

Dutch international Robben is a key part of Bayern's plans for success and was instrumental in guiding his side to the 2010 Champions League final, which they lost 2-0 to Inter Milan.
