Looks like things might be looking up for our poor Barney.'Ugly Betty' star Becki Newton is joining 'How I Met Your Mother' as a potential love interest for Neil Patrick Harris' brokenhearted Barney, reports TVLine. Newton will have a recurring role throughout the show's seventh season.
Newton's character Quinn will be a rebound for Barney, after he broke up with Nora (Nazanin Boniadi) and was rejected by Robin (Cobie Smulders).
Barney's new lady will make her debut in January.
In other casting news...
'The Secret Circle' adds two new bad boys. Michael Graziadei and Sammi Rotibi will both guest-star on the new supernatural CW series. Graziadei ('The Young and the Restless') will portray Callum, a quick-tempered guy with deadly charm. Faye (Phoebe Tonkin) will not be amused. Rotibi will portray Eben, an ominous and authoritative leader of a dangerous group who's a true believer in his malevolent cause. [TV Guide]
'Desperate Housewives' star to play cocky celeb journalist on 'Revenge.' Roger Bart is headed to the Hamptons as a guest-starring lead in an upcoming episode of 'Revenge.' Bart will play Mason Treadwell, a rich, pretentious journalist who's written a tell-all book about Long Island high society. [EW.com]
