The news that the Gunners captain had successfully sold his house sparked speculation that van Persie could be following Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy to Premier League leaders Manchester City.
Big-spending Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala have also confirmed their interest, while van Persie fuelled rumours that he was set to leave Emirates Stadium after he recently "nobody knows" where his future lies.
However, the Netherlands striker insists he remains fully committed to Arsenal and has vowed to demonstrate his dedication on the pitch.
"I am committed to Arsenal, and that's how it is, despite people [in the media] making up stories&. I see stories which make me laugh, but I can see how frustrating it is from the fans' point of view," van Persie told Arsenal's official matchday programme ahead of their clash against Sunderland. "But I am committed to Arsenal. I am captain, and fans should not believe everything they read.
"As for that house story, the hou se has been for sale for a while, but I'm not living on the streets or anything, I have found a really nice house, and yes, it's in London! So I want to put that straight, I am committed, and I will show that on the pitch".
