(CNN) -- Captain Antonio Di Natale returned from injury to score the only goal that gave Udinese a 1-0 win over Palermo on Sunday -- a result that keeps the pressure on Juventus at the top of Italy's Serie A table.

Di Natale volleyed home Dusan Basta's cross seven minutes before half-time to leave Udinese on 18 points, one off leaders Juventus.

And Lazio later joined Udinese on 18 points with a comfortable 3-0 success at Cagliari, thanks to goals from Senad Lulic, Miroslav Klose and Tommaso Rocchi -- who was netting his 100th goal for the club.

Defending champions AC Milan are a further point back in fourth position after Saturday's 3-2 triumph at Roma.

Meanwhile, bottom club Cesena sacked coach Marco Giampaolo after Sunday's 2-0 defeat at Parma left them still waiting for their first win of the season.

In Spain's La Liga, Levante lost their first game of the season when they fell to a 2-0 loss at Osasuna.

First-half goals from Juan Martinez and Alvaro Cejudo were enough to deny Levante an eighth straight league victory and the result leaves Real Madrid a point ahead of rivals Barcelona at the top of the table.

However, Cejudo was later sent off for a second bookable offence, leading to a nervy final half-an-hour for the home side.

Levante remain third, two points behind Madrid after their first defeat in 10 games.

In other matches, Atletico Madrid beat Zaragoza 3-1 to ease the pressure on coach Gregorio Manzano.

A double from Adrian Lopez helped Atletico to their first win in eight matches, lifting them up to ninth place.

Meanwhile, Racing Santander became the final team to win a match this season as they beat Real Betis 1-0 thanks to a Christian Stuauni penalty.
