'Good Day LA' (weekdays, 9AM PT on Fox) interviewed the cast of 'Happy Endings' in a segment that started out awkward and stayed right on track until the end. Gigi Graciette was on set with the gang and during introductions, referred to Damon Wayans Jr. as Damon Winans Jr.
"I'm actually CeCe Winans' son," he quipped. Steve Edwards, Jillian Barbarie and Lauren Sanchez, who were phoning in from the studio, laughed hysterically at Gigi's expense.
Changing the subject, she asked if they were as fun when the cameras weren't rolling. Eliza Coupe, whose character Jane is married to Wayans' character Brad, joked that they were very, very dark.
From the 'Good Day LA' studio, Lauren Sanchez yelled out, "You are the dark one!" Thinking the comment came from Jillian, Adam Pally, who plays Max, told her to "stop being racists so early in the morning." Sanchez quickly copped to the remark, but still couldn't help herself when she apologized for her 'dark' humor. "You're just gonna keep hitting this racism on the head 'til someone agrees," Pally joked.
