Afghan police chief, the Germans shot shortage

KABUL, Afghanistan (World News) - Two German, missing nearly three weeks on a hike in the Hindu Kush were being shot, said a police spokesman, generally Monday gene. In separate incidents, a bomb killed a suicide bomber and eight people and wounded 20 in two attacks in the country, said the interior minister.

Five civilians were killed Monday when a bomb exploded near their vehicle in the western province of Faryab Afghanistan. In addition, the ministry said, in t he southern city of Kandahar Sunday, a suicide bomber later killed three Afghan private security guards and wounding 20 more. The guards were part of a convoy and had finished for the evening prayer when the attack occurred.

The Ministry no further details about the two incidents. The area where the Germans are gone is not a Taliban area. Last month, the Afghan police have speculated that the two men lost in the mountains or have been victims of crime. The organization they work for has not been appointed.
