World News - Government Muammar Gaddafi is reportedly in talks with Libyan opposition parties. At least this is conveyed by a special envoy to visit Russia after opposition parties in Benghazi.

"I was told that the direct negotiations between Gaddafi and the opposition parties are already underway," said Russian special envoy Mikhail Margelov told ITAR-TASS news agency on Friday (06/17/2011).

Certainty about the negotiations is also obtained by Margelov, after it was met with Libyan Prime Baghdadi al-Mahmudi.

"Libyan Prime Minister also told me that the contact is completed yesterday in Paris. French President Nicolas Sarkozy has been rumored about the outcome of the talks," said Mikhail Margelov.
