British Prime Minister David Cameron defends air strike on Libya by saying that the operation was to save civilians from massacre Libyan government Libyan leader Moamar Gaddafi.
A number of world leaders gathered on Tuesday for a meeting in London to discuss the future of Libya because of clashes between troops and rebels loyal to Gaddafi continued in some cities.
"Today I believe is a new beginning for the future Libyan Libyans to be able to determine the destiny of their freedom from violence and freedom from stress," Cameron said in a speech at the opening meeting.
"The reason it is discussed here because the Libyans could not achieve their future with their own efforts," said Cameron told the Libyan leader.
Cameron also defended the air attack on Libya on a resolution that endorsed the use of force to reinforce no-fly area to protect civilians.
"In a meeting organized by French President Nicolas Sarkozy in Paris that we have taken the right decision. It was to make a defense in the desert in stopping the massacres committed by troops Gaddafi," said Cameron
